We’ll be in the garden if anyone needs us. 😏 We’v We’ll be in the garden if anyone needs us. 😏

We’ve been growing flowers and making beautiful things for long enough to know that the most interesting work happens the moment you stop looking sideways at what everyone else is doing. The moment you put your phone down and go outside and let the garden tell you what it wants to be today. If it’s truly you, go for it. If not…. You don’t have to.

Artis Flora has never been particularly interested in what’s trending….We’re interested in what’s true for us. What’s growing. What’s ready to be cut and carried and arranged into something that didn’t exist this morning and won’t look exactly like this ever again.

Kinda chic to just do your own thing, quietly, on purpose, without making a big deal of it.

Some evenings don’t end. They just change shape. I Some evenings don’t end. They just change shape. It started with the candles tall and the flowers fresh and everyone still wearing the edges of their day, still a little distracted, still arriving. And then… something shifted. The edges softened. The conversation slowed into something deeper and more honest. The flowers relaxed into themselves. The candles stopped being decoration and started being the only light that mattered.

That’s what a table in a garden does if you let it. It takes whatever you brought with you and slowly, without asking permission, turns it into something else entirely.

The evening is over. But something from that table is still moving through everyone who sat at it, still softening, still becoming. That’s the thing about evenings like this.

There’s a particular kind of discomfort that comes There’s a particular kind of discomfort that comes from being in the middle of something that hasn’t revealed itself yet. Where you can feel that something is being built but you can’t see the shape of it, can’t tell if the pieces are adding up to anything, can’t find the thread that ties it all together. You just have to keep going. Keep adding. Keep showing up to something that doesn’t look finished yet.

That feeling is not failure. That feeling is just the middle. And the middle is where everything that ever became something beautiful spent most of its time.

And then one day it comes together. Not because you forced it. Because you stayed.

You don’t have to have a garden to know this feeli You don’t have to have a garden to know this feeling. You just have to find the place where the world gets quiet and you remember who you are without all the noise.

Find it today…. And take a few breaths there. 🫶

Here’s some very basic, very simple rules for anyo Here’s some very basic, very simple rules for anyone arranging. If you take nothing else away, hear this - it’s all about restraint, and letting the flowers do the work:

1: We know you love all the colors, but now is not the time. Choose two or max three.
2: Pick your large, main character energy flowers and create your shape.
3: Support them with some light flowers - don’t leave them hanging out there.
4: Fill in your base. Resist the temptation to go too far! This isn’t the ‘80s.
5: Float a few flowers on top. Think layers.
